Über die Veranstaltung
What is opera? How does opera sound? The opera case of the Augsburg State Theater transforms the Swabian classrooms into an opera studio. Soprano Anna Gottmann and pianist Andreas Begert playfully take the students on a journey through opera history - a concert performance combined with a workshop. The students become part of the production themselves and are allowed to help create musical parts of the arias. The program includes excerpts from Handel's "Alcina", Mozart's "Magic Flute", Weber's "Freischütz" and Puccini's "Turandot".
Since March 2021, the opera case can be booked digitally via Microsoft Teams. Singer and pianist come to students in homeschooling with a streamed musical theater performance and an interactive workshop or in the classroom via wall projection. Participation is also possible for split classes from home and at school.
